The community is invited to Keauhou Kares, a day to help Puna. Keauhou Shopping Center hosts Hawaiʻi Island United Way and other community partners committed to directly helping those affected by Kilauea volcano’s eruption.

Enjoy entertainment on the stage, throughout the day. Pacific Media Group stations KAPA Radio, KBIG, and The BEAT will also broadcast live during Keauhou Kares. Hawaiʻi Island United Way will collect monetary donations, with 100 percent of proceeds to be donated to Puna relief.

Bolton Inc. and Kona Coffee & Tea will help collect and transport household goods for the people of Puna. Requested items include the following:

Also at 5 p.m., Keauhou Shopping Center presents acclaimed singer and slack key guitar master Ben Kaili, for the Hui Kakoʻo Benefit Concert Series. Admission is two cans of food that will be donated to The Food Basket, Hawaiʻi Island’s food bank. Bring more than two cans for a chance to win a prize from one of the concert sponsors. The concert caps off a day of caring, at Keauhou Shopping Center.
