TCM Pineapple Drop

To help Town Center of Mililani, its tenants and the community close the year with a bang, 6 Pillars Marketing produced and promoted the Noon Year’s Eve Pineapple Drop ʻOhana Celebration held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. The family-friendly celebration was positioned as a lively, island-style alternative to traditional New Year’s Eve programming. The countdown centered around a massive, illuminated pineapple drop, complemented by live music, giveaways, and merchant activations throughout the center. Promoted through center-wide PR, signage, and social media, the event successfully reinforced Town Center of Mililani’s role as a community hub and helped drive foot traffic during a critical retail period.

THE ODOM CORPORATION: MARK ANTHONY BRANDS INTERNATIONAL TRADE SHOW & EXPERIENTIAL MARKETING CAMPAIGN

In 2024, the Odom Corporation sought to enhance retail awareness and engagement across Hawai‘i for its Mark Anthony Brands portfolio. In response, 6 Pillars Marketing developed an in-person trade event to reinforce brand positioning, build relationships, and create buzz around product offerings. The Mark Anthony Brands International Trade Show, held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Honolulu Country Club, featured a fully branded experience across multiple activation zones. With more than double the projected attendance and 100% guest participation, the innovative trade event bridged product education and brand excitement in a unique and meaningful way, successfully elevating the presence of Mark Anthony Brands across Hawai‘i’s retail landscape.

WINDWARD MALL: MULTI-CHANNEL SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING CAMPAIGN

In 2024, Windward Mall turned to the marketing experts at 6 Pillars Marketing (6PM) to help address declining foot traffic in the former Macy’s wing following the anchor tenant’s closure. Our agency developed a multi-channel strategy designed to reinvigorate digital engagement and support the success of key retailers and tenants through consistent, targeted content and strategic amplification. A robust content calendar featured custom Reels, Stories, and static posts aligned with seasonal events, tenant promotions, seasonal giveaways and Influencer collaborations. 6PM’s social media program repositioned Windward Mall as a vibrant, digitally active destination. The campaign generated consistent momentum, expanded community reach, and provided measurable support to tenants.

MAUI MALL VILLAGE COMMUNITY RELATIONS CAMPAIGNS

In the aftermath of the 2023 wildfires, 6 Pillars Marking (6PM) worked closely with Maui Mall Village to ensure its 2024 calendar of community activations was rooted in the goal of fostering meaningful connections with local families and organizations. 6PM developed a yearlong calendar of culturally inclusive, family-friendly activations, aligning with community traditions, seasonal celebrations, and opportunities to partner with nonprofits and cultural groups. Events were free to attend and heavily promoted across social media, PR, and center signage. Through meaningful programming and sustained promotion, the center activated space for joy, connection, and recovery—while boosting merchant success.

KIA Experiential Marketing Campaign

The Inaugural Keep It Aloha Podcast Celebration was created by 6 Pillars Marketing (6PM) to celebrate the show’s rise in popularity and to honor the community that helped shape its success. The experience featured food and beverage from local sponsors, live music, interactive games, branded collateral, swag bags, a curated program and more. Held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at The Barn at SALT at Our Kakaʻako, the event welcomed over 150 VIP guests. By turning the digital brand into an in-person celebration, the Keep It Aloha Podcast Celebration authentically embodied the voice, values, and aloha-forward spirit of its audience and host.

UNITED IN ALOHA: A DAY OF LŌKAHI COMMUNITY RELATIONS CAMPAIGN

To honor and support the Maui community’s ongoing recovery following the 2023 wildfires, Town Center of Mililani and Parker Ranch Center partnered with Aloha United Way (AUW) to present United in Aloha: A Day of Lōkahi—a meaningful, community-driven observance. Envisioned as a dual-island event, it was designed to unite Oʻahu and Hawai‘i Island with Maui through cultural expression, family-friendly engagement, and charitable giving. The event met or exceeded all core objectives, driving impact through meaningful storytelling, compassionate outreach, and strategic partnership. The Day of Lōkahi demonstrated how a thoughtful, one-day campaign can foster lasting unity and support during times of recovery.

IICHIKO SAITEN LAUNCH CAMPAIGN & COCKTAIL COMPETITION

Marketing Consumer Products: Food & Beverage/Restaurants

On behalf of our client, iichiko USA, 6 Pillars Marketing (6PM) launched a multi-part campaign designed to drive awareness, product trial and industry buzz for the award-winning iichiko Saiten brand. Campaign goals were achieved through two high-impact events: a private and public launch at Pint + Jigger in February 2024, and a cocktail competition at SKY Waikiki in April 2024, where eight top bartenders competed for cash and a trip to the iichiko distillery in Japan. By pairing authentic cultural storytelling with exclusive, high-touch events, 6PM helped iichiko USA deliver a standout launch in a competitive beverage market. The campaign effectively built brand equity, trade trust, and product curiosity within Hawai‘i’s hospitality industry.

98 Degrees Benefit Concert

6 Pillars Marketing (6PM) was honored to take the lead for the public relations and promotional strategies in support of the “98 Degrees and Friends: Restoration of the Heart of Maui Benefit Concert,” held on April 6, 2024, in Honolulu. The concert featured 98 Degrees alongside popular local artists. 6PM’s robust Public Relations campaigns generated $1.2 million in PR value, while its digital and social media campaign achieved over 105,000 impressions, helping to drive ticket sales and awareness. The benefit concert successfully united the community and garnered nationwide support. With a powerful mix of emotional storytelling, community engagement, and strategic PR, 6PM helped transform a concert into a meaningful vehicle for recovery and public service.

Social Media: Social Media Photo-Based Marketing Program

To elevate brand awareness and drive year-round engagement, Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel partnered with 6 Pillars Marketing to launch the QK Vacay Giveaway, an Instagram-based photo contest campaign running from May to December 2024. Designed to showcase the hotel’s personality and highlight designated selfie spots around the property, the campaign invited participants to share their own QK moments using branded hashtags for a chance to win monthly, quarterly, and grand prizes. The visually-driven activation, which leveraged consistent content, influencer participation, and branded templates, successfully increased visibility, follower growth, and direct hotel engagement.

DFS Hawaii Social Media Relaunch Campaign

In April 2024, 6 Pillars Marketing launched @dfshawaii—one of DFS’s few region-specific accounts—to reintroduce DFS Waikīkī following its reopening. After a rigorous approval process involving global teams, the strategy centered on vibrant, localized content featuring new products, cultural moments, and collaborations with beloved Hawai‘i brands, such as ALOHA Collection and Hawaiian Airlines. Messaging reinforced a warm “welcome back” rooted in island hospitality and luxury retail. Since launching the new content strategy, DFS Hawaiʻi’s Instagram has experienced steady growth, increased engagement, and an enhanced brand presentation.

As the marketing agency of record for SALT at Our Kakaʻako, 6 Pillars Marketing (6PM) works diligently to produce annual marketing campaigns that support the needs of the center and its tenants, while also delivering on the special objectives of center ownership, Kamehameha Schools. Creative marketing programs and promotions focus on supporting small businesses, embracing local culture, and perpetuating Hawaiian values. In 2024, 6PM employed a layered approach that included annual and seasonal anchor activations, coordinated news releases, and high-visibility media opportunities for tenants, as well as ongoing social media storytelling. By pairing cultural stewardship with real-time media visibility and hyperlocal storytelling, SALT at Our Kakaʻako successfully elevated tenant brands, activated the space with meaning, and deepened its identity as a living embodiment of Hawaiian values, local entrepreneurship, and Kamehameha Schools’ mission.

QK Monthly Newsletter

In 2024, Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel launched a series of multimedia-rich monthly newsletters in partnership with 6 Pillars Marketing (6PM). To drive revenue and occupancy through strategic email communications, each piece highlighted limited-time and seasonal offers through compelling graphics, concise copy, and strong calls to action. The campaign also reinforced the hotel’s brand positioning as a relaxed, stylish stay in Waikīkī with local charm and family-friendly value. Target recipients included past guests, loyalty program subscribers, and prospective travelers interested in Waikīkī getaways. Specific focus was placed on attracting kamaʻāina, families, and leisure travelers from the continental U.S. Over the course of three months, the newsletters collectively generated more than $1.6 million in direct revenue.

THE ODOM CORPORATION MONTHLY CONSUMER DIGITAL SWEEPSTAKES CAMPAIGN

Word-of-Mouth: General Word-of-Mouth Marketing Program

To keep select beverage brands top of mind and drive year-round engagement, 6 Pillars Marketing launched a series of monthly Instagram giveaways for Odom Hawaii. Each activation spotlighted a predetermined brand and a timely prize—ranging from branded Super Bowl coolers to VIP concert tickets to summer beach bundles—encouraging Hawai‘i residents to like, tag, follow, and share for a chance to win. The campaign leveraged eye-catching graphics and themed messaging to maximize visibility and word-of-mouth. Select giveaways also featured a retail tie-in, allowing customers to enter in-store by scanning a QR code linked to an online entry form. With 12 social media giveaways throughout 2024, the campaign generated over 1.35 million impressions and more than 2,800 entries.
